Company Overview and History
PalletOne Inc. Founded on October 19, 2001, 12 pallet manufacturing facilities united. They created the biggest new pallet maker in the U.S. The company grew fast and showed its strength in only ten years. It increased from 12 facilities to 17, even after facing tough times like 9/11 and the Great Recession. This growth included adding Sunbelt Forest Products, which pressure-treats lumber and fences.
In December 2020, UFP Industries bought PalletOne for about $232 million. This move added PalletOne to the UFP Packaging portfolio. The price was based on a cash-free, debt-free balance sheet. It also included a deal to pay $21 million for PalletOne’s recent expenses and investments. At the time of acquisition, PalletOne employed more than 1,500 people across 22 locations.
Since the acquisition, PalletOne has expanded significantly. By March 2023, the company expanded across the country. It has automated manufacturing lines in over 70 UFP Packaging facilities. There are chances to add 20 more locations. PalletOne became the first coast-to-coast pallet supplier. It now runs over 90 wood packaging and pallet manufacturing sites nationwide.

- Over 90 company-owned operations across the country

PalletOne has three manufacturing sites in Texas: Port Arthur, Clarksville, and New Boston. Together, they can produce 5.2 million pallets each year. The company performed well in the market. In Q4 2024, organic unit sales rose by 13%. For the whole year 2024, they increased by 9%. These gains came from capturing more market share. However, Q1 2025 saw a 1% decline in organic unit sales due to softer demand.
We can supply reliably, even during disasters or shortages. Our wide reach helps us do this. UFP Industries states that PalletOne delivers great pallets and services to customers.
Sustainability Initiatives
PalletOne demonstrates a commitment to environmental sustainability across its operations:
- Leads the industry in teaching and promoting unit load design. This design cuts down packaging weight and volume. It also reduces the raw materials needed.
- Purchases much of its raw material from replenished, managed forests
- Works with suppliers certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) or the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®).
- Any plant can get FSC and SFI chain-of-custody certification if a customer requests it.
- Runs a strong pallet recovery and recycling program to keep fiber out of landfills.
- Embraces a cradle-to-cradle approach to packaging. This means collecting and recycling products to create new, useful items.
- Runs an industrial recycling division that helps customers re-purpose materials from their waste.
The company highlights that wood is a renewable resource. It’s a better option than non-renewable materials. Also, carbon emissions can drop since carbon dioxide stays trapped in wooden pallets. Wooden pallets in the US now have a certified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This EPD shows how the product impacts the environment during its entire lifecycle. This EPD started in July 2020. The Pallet Foundation and the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) created it.
PalletOne recently scored an 8 out of 100 on the DitchCarbon sustainability scale. This score is lower than 82% of the industry. The company doesn’t have public carbon emissions data for the latest year. It also lacks specific reduction targets shared with the public.
